Daniel Ivanov-Aoiyama won his fourth consecutive victory at the Nagoya Sumo Tournament after defeating Maegashira-10 Kinbosan. The Bulgarian thus evened his record at 6-6 after 12 bouts in the competition.

Kinbozan is the first ever sumo player from Kazakhstan to compete in the strongest division - makuuchi.

This was Aoiyama's first bout and first win against Kinbozan, with the Bulgarian scoring it the okuridashi bout.
