site.btaLive Checks Every 10 Minutes Planned for April 19 Vote Counts
Checks for live online broadcasts of ballot counting and the completion of tally sheets during the early parliamentary elections on April 19 will be conducted every 10 minutes, said Ivaylo Filipov, Executive Director of the Information Services company, speaking to journalists on Tuesday.
"If a section election commission is not broadcasting for any reason, we will inform the Central Election Commission and the relevant constituency election commission, so that someone can prompt the section election commission to activate the device," explained Filipov.
At the October 27, 2024 elections, around 98% of polling stations broadcast live, and 99% have video recordings, he added.
"The Central Election Commission publishes the tally sheets data on its website, and the public can check every tally sheet. Copies of the tally sheets from section election commissions can be obtained by proxies, observers, commission members, or parliamentary candidates. Each of these 120,000 people has the right to receive a copy of the tally sheet. In this way, when we publish scanned tally sheets, each of these 120,000 people can verify whether Information Services has scanned the correct sheet and entered the numbers accurately," Filipov commented.
