site.btaState Funding Approved for Bulgarian Communities Abroad
The Council of Ministers Wednesday approved funding for the Foreign Ministry for 2026 amounting to up to EUR 1,750,000 to support projects benefiting Bulgarian communities in Albania, Serbia and Kosovo, as well as citizens of North Macedonia who self-identify as Bulgarian, Ukraine and Moldova. The financial support is part of the Bulgarian State’s commitment to historic Bulgarian communities and citizens abroad, seen as carriers of significant intellectual, economic and demographic potential.
Support for projects of organizations of Bulgarian communities creates new opportunities and mechanisms for engaging Bulgarians abroad in the country’s public and political life, while also preserving the Bulgarian ethnocultural space and promoting a positive image of Bulgaria.
