A forum entitled "Priority: Health - from Public Perceptions to Policy Solutions", organized by the Bulgarian Medical Association (BMA), will be held on Wednesday.

The findings of a nationally representative survey conducted by Research Center Trend and commissioned by BMA will be presented. The study covers key social issues, including health services covered by the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), healthcare financing, patient co-payments, public satisfaction and citizens' expectations of the healthcare system. After the presentation, a discussion will be held with representatives of political parties which, according to the latest polls, are likely to win seats in the next parliament at the April 19 elections.

President Iliana Iotova will participate in the opening of the event, the President's press secretariat said on Tuesday. Health Minister Michail Okoliyski has been invited. Participants will include the BMA and NHIF leaderships and representatives of hospital and partner organizations.
