The Military Medical Academy Monday announced Open Days for prospective military doctors and nurses. The initiative will run for four days until February 20. The Academy is delivering its training programme jointly with the Naval Academy in Varna, and the Medical University of Varna.
Graduates receive two degrees: a Master’s degree in Medicine and a Bachelor’s degree in Organisation and Management of Military Units at the Tactical Level.
Students are fully state-funded throughout their studies at both universities. They do not pay tuition fees and are provided with free accommodation, meals, medical care, uniforms, and a monthly stipend ranging of EUR 400 to EUR 500. After graduation, they have opportunities to specialize at the Military Medical Academy and to further develop their qualifications in Bulgaria and other NATO member states.
Training for military nurses is also conducted as part of the cooperation between the Military Medical Academy and the two universities. Students in this programme likewise study free of charge, receive accommodation, meals, and uniforms, and are guaranteed employment after graduation.
The Open Days will feature participation by the Head of the Military Medical Academy, Major General Prof. Dr. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski, as well as doctors from various medical fields, current trainees, and programme alumni.
Further details on admission procedures and programme benefits are available on the Military Medical Academy’s website.
