site.btaCraftspeople Invited to Participate in Bulgarian Folklore Festival in Munich
The organizers of a festival of Bulgarian folk music and dance clubs abroad, which will be held in May 2026, have invited craftspeople and artisan producers to take part in this year's edition of the traditional event.
In a Facebook post, the Munich-based folklore ensemble Lazarka announced that it is seeking masters of traditional crafts for festival titled “At the Village Square of the Other Bulgaria”. Artisans working with embroidery and textiles, woodcarving, ceramics, jewelry, leather goods, handmade gifts and other items inspired by Bulgarian culture are encouraged to apply.
According to the organizers, the festival is designed as a living space celebrating Bulgarian tradition, where every creation reflects craftsmanship, dedication and cultural heritage. Interested participants can contact Lazarka at falazarka.munich@gmail.com for further information.
The festival will take place at BMW Park in Munich from May 15 to 17, 2026. It is expected to bring together more than 100 dance clubs and thousands of visitors. It will be the first time the international folklore event is held in Germany.
