Radoslav Rosenov became U23 men’s European boxing champion for a record fourth time. The Bulgarian boxer won yet another gold medal in the 60 kg category. In the final of the championship in Budapest, the national team boxer defeated Turkiye’s Mehmethan Cinar.
Rosenov, who will turn 22 in two weeks, achieved his 17th consecutive victory at European championships in this age group. He fought with great confidence, showed his familiar “dancing style” in the ring, and left his opponent with almost no chances. The result was fully deserved and decisive: 5-0 on the judges’ scorecards for Rosenov.
Viktorio Iliev and William Cholov, who reached the finals in the 65 kg and 80 kg categories, will also be competing for gold in Budapest.
The 2025 U23 Men’s and Women’s European Boxing Championships is being held from November 21 to 30, organized by the Hungarian Boxing Association at the BOK Sports Hall Complex in Budapest, Hungary.
More than 350 boxers from over 30 countries compete in the tournament, the first European Championships organized by European Boxing, the continental division of World Boxing, the world federation recognized by the IOC.
