A gala concert featuring guest performers from Bulgaria took place on June 7, 2025 (Saturday) at the Sports Palace in Lyon, France. The folk event was part of the program for the tenth edition of the traveling festival "Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance."

Among the official guests were the Consul General of Bulgaria in Lyon, Nadya Zhivkova-Vaneva; the Executive Director of the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad, Raina Mandzhukova; the Director General of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), Kiril Valchev; and the Chair of the Association of Bulgarian Folklore Ensembles Abroad, Radoslava Nedyalkova.

At the beginning of the concert, Anita Ekenova—the initiator of the idea for the festival and the leader of the Bulgarian Dance Formation Ot Izvora [from the source/spring]—welcomed guests and invited them to dance during the upcoming performances.

During her second appearance on stage, before singing "Molitva" (Prayer), Guna Ivanova addressed the audience and gave special thanks to BTA and its special correspondent in Lyon, adding: "If it weren’t for them, who would know that this kind of event is happening—that so much energy, so much love is being shared?"

The 10th festival mottoed "Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance" opened in Lyon, France, on Friday.

As the official media partner of the event, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is covering it on site from Lyon on June 6-8. The participating ensembles will be featured by BTA's English service from June 9.
