Russian forces have attacked the areas of Odesa and Izmail with drones for the second night in a row, with the air defense of the Ukrainian Air Force operating for more than three hours, the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, said on the Telegram app.

In the suburbs of Odesa, debris from a drone fell and destroyed three buildings on the territory of a private household, damaged an apartment building and a garage, Kiper reported, adding that fortunately no people were killed or injured.

He said that the roof of a private house has caught fire from fallen drone debris in a residential area in Odesa region. The home owners have promptly extinguished the fire.

Damage was caused to a warehouse and a car by another fire, the Regional Governor said. Fire fighters have extinguished the fire and no casualties have been reported. 

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 72 drones were shot down during the night , 27 of them in Odesa region.

Odesa Region is home to the third largest community of expatriate Bulgarians, numbering more than 150,000 people, according to an official population census in Ukraine in 2001. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the regional capital, Odesa. Bulgarians in the province are concentrated in the districts of Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
