site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 411 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 24%
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,217,565, after 1,708 tests identified 411 new infections on Sunday, 67% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 24%.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 106 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 41, Burgas Region with 33 and Stara Zagora Region with 32.
The active cases are 27,151. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 1,098, including 47 in intensive care. Of the 27 new hospital admissions, 66.7% were not vaccinated.
Another 282 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,152,979.
Four fatalities was reported (all of them unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 37,435.
With 38 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,488,347 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,065,679 people are fully vaccinated, and 837,161 have received a booster jab (including 46,671 reboostered).
