Test Positivity Rate at 7.6%
Sofia, November 13 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 623,946, after 41,369 tests identified 3,146 new infections on Friday, 84.41 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 7.6 per cent.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 744 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 744 cases and Varna Region with 249.
The active cases are 113,193. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 8,156, including 751 in intensive care. Of the 855 new hospital admissions, 88.42 per cent were not vaccinated.
The infected medical staff have reached 16,665.
Another 3,007 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 513,891.
One hundred and seventy-five fatalities were reported (94.86 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 26,125.
With 21,899 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,057,437 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,615,183 people are fully vaccinated, and 40,041 have received a booster jab. LG
