Sofia Tuesday hailed the Gaza plan of President Donald Trump. "Bulgaria welcomes President Trump concrete plan to put an end to hostilities in Gaza and acknowledge the swift and positive response by Israel. This real opportunity is to be seized and we demand on regional partners to exert pressure on Hamas to do so without delay," the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a post on X.
 
The US President proposed a plan in 20 points on ending the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas and on the future of the Palestinian territory.

The Bulgarian post further reads: "We call for an immediate ceasefire, the unconditional release of the hostages, leading to a permanent end of the waging war. Unhindered, safe and lasting humanitarian access to Gaza is urgent. A governance of Gaza free from violence and terrorism is possible. The viable path to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East is our shared objective, together with the US, our European partners and the Middle East countries."
