A plane carrying 148 people, including 89 Bulgarian citizens evacuated from Israel landed at Vasil Levski Airport in Sofia. The group was successfully evacuated from Israeli territory by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the assistance of the Bulgarian embassy in Tel Aviv. Among those evacuated are also citizens of other countries, the ministry said.
They were welcomed by Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev.
Three buses with Bulgarian and foreign citizens have left Israel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadjov announced earlier. According to him, these are all Bulgarians who have expressed a desire to leave.
