Three people were wounded at a public transport stop due to a Russian attack on Odesa, Ukraine. An energy facility was damaged in the region, leaving over a thousand consumers without electricity, Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration announced on Monday.
"As a result of the morning attack, three people were injured, who were standing close to a bus stop. The condition of two of the injured was evaluated by doctors as serious. At the site of the incident, the bus stop and several minibuses were damaged,” Kiper said on Telegram.
"In Chornomorsk, a UAV hit on a residential building was recorded. Fortunately, there are no casualties," he noted.
Kiper also said that critical infrastructure in the region had been hit. "The enemy continues to attack the energy infrastructure of Odesa region. As a result of the attack in the south of the region, equipment at one of the energy facilities was damaged. Power supply interruptions have been recorded for over a thousand consumers. Power engineers are already working to eliminate the consequences and restore electricity supply," Kiper added.
Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and are the third largest population group in Ukraine, according to official census data. About 50,000-60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
