Weather conditions in Bulgaria’s mountains are not suitable for tourism, and further deterioration is expected, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) to the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) told BTA on Sunday.
Cloud cover is scattered, with strong winds at higher altitudes. Snow cover above the forest belt ranges between 10 and 20 centimetres, and temperatures vary from minus 5C to 5C.
No incidents involving tourists were reported over the past 24 hours.
