site.btaSwimmer Teya Nikolova Finishes 15th in 50 m Breaststroke at World Championships
Teya Nikolova finished 15th in the semi-finals of the 50-metre breaststroke at the World Swimming Championships in Singapore on Saturday. Nikolova covered the distance in 30.88 seconds.
The 20-year-old Bulgarian showed an excellent performance during the competition, as she set a national record of 30.67 seconds earlier Saturday. The event was won by Lithuania’s Ruta Meilutyte with a time of 29.54 seconds.
Another Bulgarian swimmer, Petar Mitsin, came in seventh in the men’s 400m freestyle final on July 27.
