The event is organized by the Bulgarian Rafting Federation and the Municipality of Bansko, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as the local authorities in Kresna and Simitli.
The official opening will take place on June 24 in the centre of Bansko. The ceremony will be attended by all participants, the Mayor of Bansko Municipality and prominent figures from Bulgarian sport.
The first official start in the sprint discipline will be given on June 25. The course includes over 20 rapids, including the iconic Kazan with a length of 400 metres and a specially prepared slalom course of 300 metres.
Along with the sports programme, the organisers are also preparing a rich cultural programme featuring concerts, folklore performances, exhibitions and culinary zones.
