The protests against the water shortage in Pleven and the region are being put on hold. The organizers from the civil association Counter-Corruption said that Sunday's demonstration was the last one for the time being.

"We are stopping the protests because people are growing tired, and participation is decreasing," one of the organizers, Borislav Tsvetanov, said. He added that they will assess the results of the measures taken to address the water shortage. Tsvetanov also urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any irregularities related to water services, street repairs, pollution, etc.

Tsvetanov said that a public discussion on Pleven’s water supply problems will be held at the Regional Administration on Monday. Representatives of all relevant institutions have been invited, and two MPs elected from the Pleven Region have confirmed their attendance.

As in previous weeks, Sunday's protest began with a march that started from the Ivan Radoev Drama and Puppet Theatre, continued through the city centre, and ended at Vazrazhdane Square in front of the Municipality building.
