Bulgaria will host two Ice Hockey World Championships next season, the Bulgarian Ice Hockey Federation announced on Friday. The decision was made at the Congress of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in the Swedish capital Stockholm, which is being held from May 22 to 24.

Sofia will organize the matches from Group B of the IIHF World Championship Division II in April 2026. In early January, the Winter Palace in the capital will host the matches from Group A of the IIHF World U20 Championship Division III.

Bulgaria last hosted the Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II in March 2025.
