Bulgarian boxer Zlatislava Chukanova won a silver medal Friday at the World Boxing Cup – Felix Stamm finals in Warsaw in the 51 kg weight category.

The European vice-champion Chukanova delivered a solid performance against Pihla Kaivo-oja from Finland. However, the Finnish boxer used her height advantage to secure a win on points.

Chukanova’s impressive performance during the tournament in Poland added 100 points to her tally and improved her ranking to help her seeding at major tournaments. 

Youth European champion Viktorio Iliev will fight for gold against Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev (Uzbekistan) in the 65 kg weight category later on Friday.

In the evening session, European champion Rami Kiwan will face Fazliddin Erkinboev (Uzbekistan), gold medallist at the World Cup in Brazil in the 75 kg category.
