Dimitar Kisimov Qualifies for Junior Doubles Final at Australian Open

Bulgaria's Dimitar Kisimov has qualified for the junior doubles final at the Australian Open. The 17-year-old, partnering Connor Doig of South Africa, defeated Mark Ceban of the United Kingdom and Kirill Filaretov of Russia 6–3, 4–6, 10–6 in the semifinals. The match lasted 72 minutes.

In the final, Kisimov and Doig will face the home pairing of Ymerali Ibraimi and Cooper Kose.

The tournament in Melbourne marks Kisimov’s junior Grand Slam debut. In singles, he was eliminated in the first round.

Kisimov is currently seeded 25th in the world junior rankings. At the end of last year, he reached the singles final of the prestigious J300 Bradenton Tournament in the United States.
