Italy’s Elisa Caffont, who triumphed in the women’s parallel giant slalom at the Snowboard World Cup in Bansko, said she was extremely happy with her victory. She described the race as very difficult but expressed satisfaction with her form on the eve of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

"Of course it was difficult, but I am very happy. In the final run I just wanted to stay focused. I was thinking about how to push as hard as possible and take risks. I’m really very happy," said Caffont, who defeated World Cup holder Tsubaki Miki of Japan in the final.

"For me, this season has been really, really good, and we know how important that is in an Olympic season. So this victory is very important to me. Now I’m heading home with the Italian team, and I am very happy that I will be able to celebrate the win with my loved ones," she added.
