site.btaBulgaria Hosts Key International Event in Tourism


The official opening of the 68th Meeting of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Commission for Europe will take place on Thursday in Sofia, the Ministry of Tourism said. The forum will be opened by caretaker Tourism Minister Ilin Dimitrov and Zurab Pololikashvili, UNWTO Secretary-General.
Bulgaria will host the key international event in tourism between May 31 and June 2, with delegations from nearly 40 countries and over 20 ministers of tourism. During the meeting, this country will be the focus of discussions at the highest levels regarding the future of European tourism.
Bulgaria pays special attention to hosting the event, which will strengthen its image as one of the most proactive members of the UNWTO.
On June 2, the first thematic conference within the framework of the UNWTO dedicated to SPA and wellness tourism will take place.
