Four exhibitions at the City Art Gallery mark the beginning of the 41st edition of the Apollonia Festival of Arts on Thursday, which will run until September 6. BTA is a media partner of the event.

Visitors will be able to see part of the exhibition of the Sofia City Art Gallery “Europe in Bulgaria: Reflections of European Artistic Trends in Bulgarian Art from the Liberation to the Mid-20th Century.” Selected works from the upcoming 11th edition of the International Stage Poster Triennial, as well as graduation projects by students from the National Academy of Art will also be displayed.

The international exhibition “We Are Earth” will also be presented as part of the triennial and the environment campaign “Change the Picture”.

The Apollonia Festival of Arts has been held since 1984. It is organized by the Apollonia Foundation, established in 1991. Each year, the stages of Apollonia in Sozopol attract hundreds of artists and thousands of art lovers from Bulgaria and abroad. The festival aims to preserve cultural traditions, while also supporting new talents across different art forms. This year’s programme includes more than 70 events in music, theater, literature, cinema, and visual arts.
