site.btaUnion of Bulgarian Artists Hosts Sasho Draganov's First Solo Exhibition until End-July

Prof. Sasho Draganov's first solo exhibition is comprised of approximately 1,000 pieces divided into 22 themes directly related to design, the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) said. The exhibits will be on display at Sofia's 6 Shipka St gallery between July 16 and July 30.

The pieces include paintings, sculptures, objects for everyday use. Behind the impressive number of works is the designer's vision of “a complex experience and interpretation of the world; to create a better world,” the organizers said.

Draganov was born in Pleven, North Central Bulgaria, in 1955. Graduated as a Master of Industrial Design from the Burg Giebichenstein School of Industrial Design in Halle, Germany, majoring in Product and Tool Design in 1981. Became Associate Professor of Industrial Design in 2002 and Professor in 2009 at the Technical University of Sofia.
