The Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) shows the exhibition 50 Years in the Painting World of Maglena Konstantinova in its gallery at Shipka Street, 6. The exhibition will open on March 22, organizers said here on Friday.

In their words, it is surprising that despite the incredible volume of her work, Maglena Konstantinova has never presented a solo exhibition before.

The UBA said that writer Leda Mileva has repeatedly stated that her favourite artist is Maglena Konstantinova because of her ability to feel the world of a child and to interpret their dreams and fantasies.

Maglena Konstantinova was born in Sofia. In 1973 she graduated from the Academy of Art, majoring in Illustration, under prof. Petar Chuklev. She works in the field of illustration, book design and applied graphics. She draws and designs series of stamps, envelopes, emblems, postcards.

Konstantinova has designed more than 700 books - illustrations and graphic design, textbooks for kindergartens and students from first to fourth grade and fiction literature by more than fifty Bulgarian and foreign authors, games and mosaics. Her illustrations have participated in Bulgarian general art exhibitions and international illustration biennials.
