Dr. Matthew Knowles, singer Beyonce's father, will be a the keynote speaker at the first edition of the SoAlive Music Conference. The event will take place between October 19 and 21 in Sofia, the  organizers of the event said.

This will be Knowles' first visit not only to Bulgaria, but also to the Balkan Peninsula, and is a sign for the growing potential and significance of the geographical region on the world music map.

Dr. Matthew Knowles was the driving force behind the incredible success of one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time, Destiny's Child, added the SoAlive team. He is an author, university lecturer, public figure, entrepreneur, music mogul. He founded Music World Entertainment , a renowned music and film conglomerate with sales exceeding 450 million copies. His visionary approach contributed to the development of the stellar musical careers of his two daughters, Beyonce and Solange.  Knowles has received numerous awards for his achievements in business and the music industry, including his induction into the prestigious R&B Hall of Fame.

"The participation of Dr. Knowles is not only a confirmation of the quality work we do in the music industry in Bulgaria, but also proof of the growing potential of the music business in the Balkans as a whole," commented Ruth Koleva, organizer of the SoAlive music conference.

Dozens of global and Bulgarian experts from various segments of the music industry will take part in the event. The programme of the SoAlive Music Conference will be divided into three main directions: a conference part, a concert programme and film screenings. The events will be held at the National Palace of Culture, Sofia Live Club, Mixtape 5 and open areas around the National Palace of Culture.
