Velichie party leader Ivelin Mihaylov on Thursday accused GERB leader Boyko Borissov of financing and organizing young people exhibiting aggressive behaviour, including groups of violent youths known as "locals". “The person who finances them is Boyko Borissov, and this was evident with the Spartak Varna Football Club,” Mihaylov told journalists in the National Assembly.

He sees a pattern followed by Borissov and Movement for Rights and Freedoms – New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski, who, according to Mihaylov, allocate state funds to finance “their own private armies”. He added that the “locals” grow out of football fan groups.

The MP also claimed that Yes, Bulgaria, has joined the “mafia party.” Yes, Bulgaria, is a member of the Democratic Bulgaria alliance which forms part of the Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria coalition.
