National Assembly Chair and BSP-United Left MP Nataliya Kiselova said on Tuesday in Kardzhali that dynamics are high in politics, but in her view and that of her parliamentary group, the issue of stability must prevail over political self-interest. Kiselova was in Kardzhali to attend the city’s holiday celebrations.
Commenting on President Rumen Radev’s earlier remark that the government was in “paralysis,” Kiselova said that Parliament would provide proof of functionality as early as Wednesday. "I see no reason why there should be no quorum," she added.
The budget will be the most important task in the coming months, she noted.
Regarding GERB leader Boyko Borissov’s call for her resignation, Kiselova said that as long as she serves as head of the institution, she will continue to fulfill her duties.
“Last week was a lesson for all of us that the issues that concern us should first be discussed among colleagues in the Joint Governance Council, and only afterward brought to the media,” she commented. Kiselova also said that each member of the ruling coalition should, through their personal conduct, contribute to strengthening statehood, clarifying that this applies not to any specific colleague, but to everyone.
