Parliament has once again failed to convene due to a lack of quorum. “A total of 71 MPs have registered. There is no quorum. The next sitting will take place tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.,” National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova said on Thursday.

The registration by parliamentary groups was displayed on the board in the debating chamber. A total of 29 MPs from Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), nine from BSP-United Left, 14 from the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, 11 from MECh, and eight from Velichie registered.

Vazrazhdane MPs were present in the debating chamber but did not register.

After the National Assembly Chair announced that there was no quorum, MECh MPs chanted “Resignation” and raised placards with “B + D = LOVE” crossed out and “Only MECh!” underneath.

On Wednesday, Parliament also failed to hold a sitting due to a lack of quorum.

“We will no longer be providing quorum in Parliament,” GERB leader Boyko Borissov said on Tuesday during a meeting with the GERB-UDF parliamentary group and Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov. “I see no place for GERB in such a government,” Borissov added.
