“I will be the guarantor for the people that this Government will work,” said Delyan Peevski, leader of MRF – New Beginning, speaking to journalists in the corridors of Parliament on Friday. “You see how this Government survives – it survives thanks to me, for the people, not for any other reason,” he added. Peevski also stressed that no one is more prepared for elections than he is, but said there will be no elections.

In response to criticism from GERB leader  Boyko Borissov, Peevski stated that he has a duty to the people to do the work and will get it done. “What matters most today is for Borissov to instruct the Prime Minister, who is from GERB, to resolve the water [shortages] issue,” the MRF leader added. “I expect them to report on what they are doing and to fulfill their responsibilities, because people have no water,” Peevski said.

Asked by BTA about his earlier stated plans for "a State with a capital D" [In Bulgarian, the word for "State" starts with a "d", just like Peevski's first name], Peevski responded: “You will see it in practice – it is already happening. Every day I raise the issues. Every day I talk to the ministers. Every day I bring up the issues that people around the country bring to me,” he added.

Peevski said MRF – New Beginning is perhaps the only party that is with the people every day and noted that he expects the same from the others.
