Bulgarian projects in the space sector can receive between EUR 50,000 and EUR 500,000 under the European Space Agency's (ESA) 11th Call for Proposals. This transpired during the third information day on new opportunities to apply for under the procedure. The information campaign is organized by the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and the ESA, together with the ESA's industrial coordinator for Bulgaria. the Ministry said on its website Wednesday.

At the event at Sofia Tech Park, nearly 100 Bulgarian companies, start-ups, research organisations and universities with an interest in the space sector received information about the opportunities offered by the procedure and the conditions for applying for it. ESA experts provided practical advice on how participants can prepare strong project proposals that are likely to receive funding.

During the event, the Space Research and Technology Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Bulgarian companies presented successful projects that have received support so far. Industrial coordinators from Europe gave good examples of projects from other countries.
