The Council of Ministers decided to propose Hristiyan Hristov to the President for appointment as acting Director of the Military Police Service, effective September 19, until a permanent director is appointed, but for no longer than one year, the government press service said here on Wednesday.
The government proposes that, effective September 19, Ivaylo Sotirov be released from his position as Head of the Military Police Service and discharged from military service upon reaching the statutory age limit.
The Military Police Service is a specialized structure tasked with maintaining order and security within the Ministry of Defence, its subordinate structures, and the Bulgarian Armed Forces, and ensuring the security of their personnel, according to the Service’s website.
