site.btaEU Commissioner for Financial Services to Visit Bulgaria on September 4-5

European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union, Maria Luis Albuquerque will pay an official visit to Bulgaria on September 4 and 5, the European Commission said on Wednesday.

While in Sofia, Albuquerque is scheduled to meet with Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova and Bulgarian National Bank Governor Dimitar Radev.

Her programme also includes meetings with representatives of specialized bodies and institutions in the financial, banking and insurance sectors, as well as with employers' associations, trade unions, and consumer organizations.

The talks will focus on boosting competitiveness in the context of the initiative for a new savings and investments union, the Commission said.
