site.btaCouncil of Ministers Approves Draft Memorandum on Secure Digital Military Mobility Project


At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the defence ministries of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and Romania in connection with a project for the Development of a Digital System for Secure and Rapid Exchange of Information Related to Military Mobility, approved for funding under the European Defence Fund.
The project aims to develop digital tools that will facilitate direct and secure information exchange between participating countries to accelerate procedures and increase efficiency in military mobility within the EU. It aligns with the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) priorities and particularly supports the EU Capability Development Plan (CDP).
The initiative is coordinated by Estonia and supported by Czechia, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and Romania. Its implementation is closely tied to the Military Mobility project under the EU’s Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) framework in the field of defence.
