Constitutional Court President Pavlina Panova met with German Ambassador Irene Maria Plank on Wednesday, the Court said on Thursday.

The meeting focused on the active international engagement of the Constitutional Court. Key points of discussion included the forthcoming international conference of the jurisdictions of 21 EU Member States, EUnited in Diversity III, which will be held for the first time in Sofia on September 3-5, as well as preparations for an upcoming visit of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany to Bulgaria at the end of November.

The participants exchanged views on the practices of constitutional courts.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of Mission Frederik Hanke and Dimitar Stanishev from the German Embassy's Politics and Protocol Department, as well as by Constitutional Court Judge Sasho Penov and the Court's Secretary General Valentin Georgiev.
