site.btaCars Temporarily Prohibited from Accessing Terminal 2 Building at Sofia Airport

From Monday until August 23, temporary traffic arrangements will be in place in front of Terminal 2 at Sofia Airport, the airport said on Facebook. The reason is that the expansion joints on the flyover to Terminal 2 will be replaced.

Vehicles are prohibited from accessing the terminal building. The Kiss & Ride zone has been temporarily moved to the far lane before the exit barriers, and parking is prohibited on the road between parking lot P4 and the temporary Kiss & Ride zone. Public transport and inter-terminal buses will run as normal in front of the terminal. All car parks are open for use.

Staying in the temporary Kiss & Ride zone is allowed for 10 minutes free of charge per hour. Additional staff will be on hand to assist. Access to the terminal building is provided for vehicles with special traffic arrangements. Vehicles transporting people with reduced mobility will be allowed to enter the terminal, the airport added.

The airport urges drivers to allow extra time, follow the signs and obey traffic signals.
