Belovo Mayor Stoyko Stefanov declared a partial state of emergency in the village of Dabravite for a period of seven days, the local administration said on its website on Thursday.
After a fire broke out in the area on Wednesday and was extinguished, a strong storm passed over the village, destroying the roof of the local community centre and flooding the streets of the villages of Gabrovitsa and Dabravite. Damage clearance activities are underway and a commission has been established to inspect the affected homes and municipal buildings.
