site.btaSocial Old-Age Pension Upped, Effective July 1

The monthly social old-age pension will increase from BGN 307.07 to BGN 333.48, effective July 1, 2025, Bulgaria's Council of Ministers decided on Tuesday, the Government Information Service reported.

The change will lead to an increase in non-work-contingent pensions whose size is determined depending on the social old-age pension: military and civil invalidity pensions, social invalidity pensions, and personal pensions. The size of the statutorily set supplements to pensions (for care services and for war veterans) will rise, too, because they are calculated as a percentage of the social old-age pension.
