During the European Police Congress held Wednesday in Berlin, the Bulgarian delegation held talks with European partners, emphasizing the need for effective and timely cooperation on key issues in internal affairs and the importance of continuous dialogue as a key factor in successfully addressing current challenges, the Ministry of Interior reported.

The Bulgarian delegation included Chief Commissioner Zahari Vaskov, Director of the National Police General Directorate, and Senior Commissioner Damyan Lechev, Director of International Operational Cooperation Directorate.

During the event, participants discussed changes in the security environment resulting from global and regional processes, crises, and conflicts. Representatives from over 20 countries addressed key issues on the law enforcement agenda, including cybercrime, transnational organized crime, and border security.
