site.btaPresident Radev to Attend 10th Three Seas Initiative Summit in Warsaw
President Rumen Radev will visit Warsaw on April 28 and 29 at the invitation of his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda to participate in the 10th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative.
On 28 April, the Bulgarian President will visit the National Library of Poland, which holds part of the original Codex Suprasliensis (Retkov Sbornik). In recognition of the institution's significant contribution to the preservation and promotion of the collection, which is the only preserved Old Bulgarian manuscript of the Preslav School of Literature from the Golden Age of Bulgaria, included in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register of world heritage scriptures, and on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of its discovery, the head of State will award the library with a plaque of St. St. Cyril and Methodius. The award will be accepted by its director, Tomasz Makowski.
On April 29 the Bulgarian President will participate in the 10th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative. The regional format for advancing cooperation and promoting connectivity in energy, transport and digitization brings together 13 EU countries: Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Romania, Greece. Ukraine and Moldova are associated member countries, and the Three Seas' strategic partners are Germany, the European Commission, the US and Japan.
On the sidelines of the summit a business forum will take place during which various projects for the development of regional transport, energy and digital connectivity will be presented and discussed. Head of State Rumen Radev, whose delegation also includes representatives of Bulgarian institutions and Bulgarian business, will participate in the presidential panel at the forum.
