site.btaEU Financial Stability Commissioner McGuinness to Pay Two-Day Working Visit to Bulgaria

The European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union, Mairead McGuinness, will arrive on a two-day working visit to Bulgaria on Monday, the press service of the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria said.

On Monday, Commissioner McGuinness will meet with Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel, Finance Minister Assen Vassilev and Energy Minister Rumen Radev, as well as with people's representatives from the parliamentary committees on budget and finance and on matters related to the European Union, the Schengen area and the Eurozone.

Commissioner McGuinness, Prime Minister Denkov and Minister Vassilev will hold a short briefing for the media in the afternoon at the Council of Ministers.

On the second day of his visit, Commissioner McGuinness will visit the Kapitan Andreevo - Kapakule border checkpoint, located on the Bulgarian-Turkish border, and later will meet with representatives of the financial technology (FinTech) sector.
