site.btaBudget Forecast Changes, 2027 Procedure on Government Agenda

Changes to the 2026–2028 medium-term budget forecast and the 2027 budget procedure are on the Government's agenda, the Cabinet press service said Wednesday.

The Cabinet will also review a draft decision to repeal the National Assembly's October 31, 2025 resolution imposing temporary restrictions on petroleum product exports and intra-EU supplies to other Member States.

The agenda includes the adoption of a 2026 Action Plan under the Crime Prevention Strategy.

The Government will also discuss naming a Single Point of Contact for the implementation of the EU regulation establishing a framework of measures to strengthen Europe's net-zero technology manufacturing ecosystem.

In education, ministers will consider a proposal to open a Burgas branch of the University of Forestry and to establish the Prof. Ivan Dujcev Centre for Slavo-Byzantine Studies as an institute within Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.

Ministers will also consider placing state-owned public properties under the management of the National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) for the Sofia-Plovdiv railway modernisation project on the Sofia-Elin Pelin and Elin Pelin-Septemvri sections.

The agenda also includes reports on Bulgaria's participation in Council of the European Union meetings on competitiveness, home affairs, justice, general affairs and energy, as well as a report on the implementation of mineral water extraction projects and concession agreements.
