site.btaAnalysis Results in Decision to Remove Borissov's, Peevski's National Protection Service Security Detail – Interior Minister

Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev told a press conference on Wednesday that the decision to remove GERB Chair Boyko Borissov's and Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Chair Delyan Peevski's National Service for Protection (NSP) security detail was reached, after an analysis was conducted based on data from the competent authorities. Demerdzhiev denied allegations that this decision is a political act.

The Minister stated: "We promised functioning institutions – that was our message as a political force." He said that there has been an exchange of information between the institutions since Monday and added: "This led to a decision by the relevant interagency commission to remove the security detail assigned to Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borissov."

Earlier Wednesday, the MRF press service reported that the NSP withdrew Peevski’s security detail. A similar report followed from GERB Deputy Chair Tomislav Donchev.
