site.btaRegional Development Minister Angelina Boneva Resigns for Health Reasons

The Caretaker Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Angelina Boneva, has submitted her resignation to Prime Minister Andrey Gurov due to health reasons, the Ministry said on Wednesday.

Until a new minister is appointed, the ministerial functions will be performed by the current Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Nikolay Naydenov, a senior assistant at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.

Gurov will propose to President Iliana Iotova to issue a decree dismissing Boneva and appointing Naydenov as Minister of Regional Development and Public Works.

The caretaker Government led by Gurov took office on February 19. Following the parliamentary swearing-in, a handover ceremony was held at the Council of Ministers.
