GERB leader Boyko Borissov and Nathaniel Copsey, the British Ambassador to Bulgaria discussed security in the region, the strategic partnership with the United Kingdom and the importance of stable and predictable policies during times of crisis. Borissov made public details about the meeting on Facebook on Tuesday.

The GERB leader stated that his party would work to ensure that Bulgaria is an active and reliable partner with strong institutions, a clear Euro-Atlantic orientation and concrete actions in support of the economy and security. He added that opportunities for strengthening trade and investment relations, and for exchanging good practices in education and innovation, were also discussed.

According to Borissov, the British Ambassador confirmed his country's readiness to continue active political dialogue and practical cooperation with Bulgaria.
