site.btaProtesters Rally for Palestinians over Gaza Funding in Downtown Sofia

Citizens rallied in front of the European Commission Representation in Sofia on Friday in support of Palestinians’ rights.

The protest, organised by the unregistered student initiative Students for Palestine, Bulgaria under the slogan “NO to funding the genocide in Gaza!”, took place outside the House of Europe and did not disrupt traffic.

Sofia Municipality said the event had been registered with the municipality as a civic solidarity initiative in support of Palestine, scheduled for the late afternoon and early evening hours.

Police officers were present in the area.
