The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Bulgaria, Inid Milo, visited the University of Forestry in Sofia at the invitation of the University Chancellor, Assoc. Prof. Hristo Mihaylov. The meeting agenda included the current bilateral relations in scientific and educational activities between the two countries.

Mihaylov briefed Milo on his University's activities, as today teaches students from more than 25 countries, including Albania.

So far, Albanian students have participated with Bulgarian students in Erasmus exchanges. The current contacts are mainly in the field of veterinary medicine. Special emphasis was put on Mihaylov's intention to establish a Balkan network related to unified animal and human health as a bridge of relations between scientific and educational circles.

Mihaylov invited the University of Tirana to partner in expanding this network. Milo said that she is committed to organizing a meeting between Mihaylov and Dr Artan Hoxha, the University of Tirana Rector.

Both sides agreed that more joint projects in science and education are necessary.
