Representatives of the Ankara-headquartered Balkan Immigrants Economic Research and Social Assistance Foundation (BISAV) were guests at the BTA National Press Club in the Turkish capital on Thursday, a week after an exhibition dubbed "The Letters of Bulgaria - Alphabet of Europe" opened there. The exhibition is a poster action of the International Triennial of the Stage Poster, with the participation of prominent artists from different countries and continents.

The BISAV officials included the foundation's Chairman Yuksel Ozkale and Deputy Chairman for Administrative Affairs Belgin Doruk, and Ahmet Cebeci, who teaches at Gazi University. Several journalists working for public broadcaster TRT were among the guests.

Earlier on Thursday, the BTA National Press Club in the Turkish capital was visited by Ankara University professor Huseyin Mevsim. He is a literary historian, a researcher of Turkiye's cultural and literary relations with Bulgaria, and a translator.

The exhibition features 30 posters, one for each letter of the Bulgarian alphabet. Each poster was created by a different artist selected by a draw of lots.

The international poster action and exhibition "The Letters of Bulgaria - Alphabet of Europe" unites the efforts of artists from 20 countries to create a collection of posters dedicated to Bulgaria and its culture through the theme of the uniqueness and universality of the Bulgarian alphabet, one of the three scripts of Europe. Turkish artist Savas Cekic made one of the posters.
