On this date in Bulgarian history:
1919: Eight-hour working day and 48-hour working week are introduced by royal decree. Six-hour day is approved for workers aged under 16 and for those working night shifts and in health-hazardous conditions.
1925: National Assembly adopts Lawyers Act, establishing The Bar in Bulgaria.
1959: Sociological Society is established (renamed Bulgarian Sociological Association in April 1969).
1998: National Assembly ratifies Agreement between Bulgaria and Turkiye on determination of their border in area of Rezovska/Mutludere River mouth and delimitation of seaspaces between two States in Black Sea, signed in Sofia on December 4, 1997.
2007: Bulgaria's largest yacht marina, Marina Dinevi, opens in Sveti Vlas; its capacity is about 300 yachts, 50 of which over 25 metres in length.
2015: Centre for Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and Countries in Central and Eastern Europe is established under Ministry of Agriculture and Food, based on October 2014 memorandum of understanding between Bulgaria and China's agriculture ministries.
2022: Parliament mandates outgoing government to approve French EU Council Presidency's draft negotiating framework for North Macedonia’s EU membership, which incorporates Bulgaria's conditions for Skopje into country’s commitments for EU accession.
